I had a very clear idea of what i wanted to write today and I totally just forgot.
Mmmm lets improv...

I usually go slower than the average bike rider here in Germany -we have talked about my fear of breaking my teeth- so yesterday on my way downhill I was not pedaling as usual and all of a sudden this man that was behind me all the time and had been going as slow as me just goes ahead of me making all kind of noises and hand gestures and guess what? the traffic lights we had close ahead went red.

I slowly reach him eventually not knowing who was going to be more ashamed and not knowing wether I should ignore him or pick on him.

I picked option 2: making him feel uncomfortable.

"Hi, I'm sorry for going so slow. Do you have an important place to be?"
"Hey it's ok"
"I'm really sorry I just don't dare myself to go faster."
"Hey it's ok, you can go as slow as you want"
"I didn't mean to bother you, really¨

Anyways you should have seen the look on his face.
Above all I really feel sorry for him since that same thing has happened to me before. Not the exact same but for example you yell things at a car that was trying to come into your lane and then the traffic lights go red and your stuck in the same situation.
